The Housing Corporation, 1974 - 1979: an example of state housing policy in Britain

Abstract. This paper consists of three main sections. The first provides a brief outline of the form and activities of the British Housing Corporation, a state housing agency. The second attempts to account for the growth of the Corporation, drawing on various models of state behaviour. The final section assesses the geographical implications of the Corporation's investment within the United Kingdom.
